Laughing at Death- Bone study.

bone study

The key idea to my bone study was the make it look as menacing as possible. My reasoning for this choice was to match the horror aspect of skeletons. Many horror films use skeletons possibly due to the fact that there is nothing living about them at the time. No live flesh is attached to them half the time. However, to take it farther, I added one solid red eye to portray something much more sinister then a pile of bones. This lone color amongst white and black portrays malice and wrath, both represented by this color. The hands and skull are reaching out from a black void as if scaring the viewer, the void being made from sharpie marks. These marks both take away and add chaos to the piece, since the chaos is limited in certain areas.
