Spacial Translations: Abstract Images

final thing to printAll of the pictures were taken to map out my route as I walked towards the football field on Homecoming weekend. I decided on taking pictures of things with several different colors and shapes that could be abstracted with ease. The six pictures I used all had contrasting colors that I exaggerated in the abstractions. Some pictures had signs or other objects with writing on it, which had to be abstracted due to the fact that written words would take away from the abstract. None of my drawn images used rounded shapes or edges. Every point ended up sharpened and defined Each landscape was splashed with colors far more vibrant than the original pictures. Each picture had a main focus, a background, and at least one extra object to add a bit of variety. The words that would usually be seen on signs were replaced by randomized shapes.
